Hamilton: Review

Hamilton An American Musical:

The smash hit musical Hamilton, written by Lin Manuel Miranda, is a biography about the story of US treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton. The show itself is a masterpiece. The score is flawless as each note perfectly links together with the lyrics and choreography. The lighting elements of the show are important to each scene, such as in the song Hurricane as it resonates with his Caribbean Island Origins. The show represents BAME actors. This has inspired many young performers themselves to perform. The story of the founding fathers has music of rap, hip-hop and classic theatrical numbers.  By having a diverse cast it makes the show seem more relevant and modern to an audience as well as sticking to all the historical elements with the story and costume for example. It gives young people an inspiration and someone to look up to and live their dreams knowing nothing can stop them if they put their heart in something. The cast are perfect in their roles. Tarinn Callender, for example is a stand out performer, someone to always look out for on stage. He is a strong bold character with a powerful voice. The show brings fans together by its message music and cast.
