Eastbourne Airbourne 2023

The Red Arrows, Typhoon, Team Raven and Spitfire among others took to the sky at Eastbourne Airbourne this week on the Airshows 29th anniversary.

Airbourne boasts a two-mile flying display line across Eastbourne’s seafront. There is a variety of stalls to browse and explore.

The annual event faced a difficult start, with the Red Arrows being grounded on the first day of the airshow due to a technical fault and some flypasts being cancelled due to poor weather on Friday.

However, as the town basked in sunshine over the weekend, many flocked to the beach to enjoy the warmer weather and watch the spectacle above.

The Red Arrows impressed the crowds below as they performed a stunning display off the Sussex coast.

The Red Arrows
The Red Arrows did a ‘rolling display’ due to the controlled airspace above which London’s busiest airports use.

A stand out display this year was the ‘Jet pitts’ – doing tricks in the sky that stunned the crowds.

The Typhoon was the loudest of them all, zooming across the sky like it was a scene from Top Gun.

The airshow came to an eye-catching end with a glittering fireworks display along the beach front.
