August: recapping the month just gone

Summer is over, Autumn is appearing ever so far. Let’s take a quick look back on August.

August:

6th August was National friendship day – hope you celebrated your friends.

9th – was National Women’s day.

16th – National Airborne day. This leads onto Eastbourne Airbourne which was the 17th to the 19th August. A time to celebrate the RAF and the amazing flight display teams we have that put on a great show for the people of Eastbourne (like myself) and the tourists that come and watch. It was a great few days and can’t wait till next year and relax on the beach in the sun watching the planes.

We had the S2 finale of The Summer I turned Pretty and got to see which Fisher brother Belly has chosen to be with, (for the time being).

29th August ULEZ expanded to wider parts of the London Boroughs.

This month was also key to the Women’s football World Cup where England played Spain in the final and Spain won. England played so well this year and we look forward to many more tournaments.

So much happened but so little comes to mind.

In the words of Taylor Swift – August truly did slip away in a moment in time. It went so fast.

September has already brought so much including Schools not reopening after the summer holidays due to the concrete, which must be tough for students not going back to their classrooms.

So bring on September and what else it can bring.
