Darren Criss made his West End solo concert debut
Darren Criss performed two solo concerts with Michigan university pals and fellow Starkid members Joey Richter and Lauren Lopez, on Sunday October 15.
Darren Criss make his West End debut at the iconic London Palladium for a special one night only concert on 15 October.

Criss, Lopez, and Richter are founding members of Team Starkid, a theatre production company that specialises in comedy and parody musicals. Their collective college project, A Very Potter Musical, starred Criss as Harry Potter, placing him on the path to stardom. In the production, Lopez played antagonist Draco Malfoy, and Richter played Potter’s best friend, Ron Weasley. The opening song ‘get back to Hogwarts’ is a song that lasts nearly 10 minutes and is a fan favourite. The Emmy award winning actor, sang the song with his two friends as well as special guest Carrie Hope Fletcher for the matinee performance.

Criss sang songs that meant something to him and his fans. Songs spanned from his days in the hit show ‘Glee’, Starkid songs and his own music from his Homework and Masquerade eps. Loved by show many, the songs were sang along by the crowd, even joining in on the harmonies during songs such as ‘Foolish thing’ and ‘Get back to Hogwarts’
Promoter Lambert Jackson was key in organising the concert and making it run as smoothly as it did.
The last time Darren played in London was his LMDC tour with Lea Michelle in 2018. Five years later he put on a show stopper at the London Palladium. Let’s hope it is not another five till he is back again, and maybe a West End musical is on the cards?…
After playing in theatres in Mexico and Australia, Criss, Richter and Lopez made their way into London’s hearts.
